Share
(Savings):
Depositing a set amount regularly into your share (savings)
account will provide you with a feeling of security
when emergencies arise. Deposits can be made in person,
in the night depository, through the drive-thru, or
by mail (please don't send travelers cheques or cash
by mail). Savings in TAP FCU can also be used a security
for a loan at a more attractive rate (this is called
a share loan). Dividends are paid quarterly on balances
over $100.00.
Share Draft (Checking):
Personal and Business checking accounts are available.
Dividends are paid monthly on the first day of each
month. The minimum daily average balance to earn a dividend
is $500. A $10 monthly service charge is incurred when
the daily balance falls below $500. The first check
order (150 checks on personal account are provided free).
Share Certificates:
Certificates are available for terms of three months
to four years. The minimum certificate amount is $500
and dividends compound monthly.
Traditional IRA and Roth IRA:
Accounts can be opened with a minimum deposit of $50.
IRA and Roth IRA Certificates area available for a one-year
term. The minimum IRA - Roth IRA certificate amount
is $1,000. The credit union also has available IRA's
under the SEP (Simplified Employee Pension) Plan available.
Escrow:
This is an operational account for the purpose of providing
members a separate account to deposit escrow funds,
security deposits, etc. so as not to commingle those
funds with other types of deposits. Escrow Checking
is also available. Funds in these accounts are not paid
a dividend. Call the credit union office for more information
on these accounts.
Cashier's
Checks or Teller Checks:
Cashier's or Teller checks are available free of charge
for withdrawals from escrow accounts. There is a $1
charge for Cashier's Check or Teller check withdrawals
if it is not made payable to the member.
Travelers' Cheques:
We offer Gift Cheques, Express Packs, and Cheques for
Two.
Save Time and Money with Direct Deposit:
The credit union is set up to receive direct deposits
and automatic debits electronically free of charge.
Dividend Computation:
The system determines the average daily balance in the
account for the period. The average balance is multiplied
by the daily dividend factor and the number of days
in the period.

Low Loan Rates:
Loans at your credit union are low cost. Don't take
our word for it--shop before you borrow! TAP FCU has
no prepayment penalties, hidden costs or add-on charges
of any kind to the contract. Interest is charged on
a daily basis between payments and is computed on the
unpaid balance.
Consumer Lending:
Numerous types of loans are available to include: Secured
such as auto, boat, motor home, and business equipment;
and Unsecured such as vacation, bill consolidation,
Mastercard, and line of credit.
Real Estate Lending:
We specialize in interim construction lending. The credit
union also offers great programs for investment property,
land loans and home improvements. Review the Real Estate
Loans page in this Web site, then call or come by the
credit union to get more information on our programs.
MasterCard:
Regular, Gold, or Secured MasterCard's are available
at TAPFCU. No annual fee is assessed and no interest
is charged on purchases when the complete bill is paid
by the due date. Use our on-line credit card application
to apply today. Your application will come to our staff
in a confidential, secure e-mail on a secure Internet
server. If your computer's firewall prevents you from
seeing secure pages on the Internet, simply come by
the credit union, or call 210.593.1200 and request to
have a Credit Card Application form fax'd or mailed
to you.
Insurance Coverage:
Optional Loan Protection (Credit Life and Credit Disability)
insurance is available. Contact the credit union for
details on these valuable insurance plans.
$100,000 Federally Insured Accounts:
Share accounts are insured to $100,000 by the National
Credit Union Administration, a U.S. government agency.
In addition, TAPFCU is protected by a blanket surety
bond covering all officials and employees against fraud,
embezzlement, theft, robbery, forgery or any dishonest
act involving credit union assets.

printable statements, the ability to view cleared checks,
transfers, withdrawals and more options are available.

we have your current address?
Please verify that the address on your statement
is correct. If not, or if it will be changing in
the near future, please notify the credit union
by mail, fax, or e-mail of all corrections. In addition,
the credit union is collecting the e-mail, address,
and fax numbers for all members. This additional
communication tool will be of great value to both
the credit union and the members. Please respond
as soon as possible by completing the On-Line Update
Form or by calling 210.593.1200, extension 128.
